There are very good reasons why mice should be using a natural moisturizer. And many of those reasons also apply to people, including the millions of women who use moisturizers in America.
A recent study was set up to investigate whether caffeine could cause cancer in mice. As a part of that study, each mouse had boots no7 tinted moisturizer applied to its skin 5 times a day for 17 weeks. The study is reported in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.
Although this was not being studied, the researchers were surprised to find that the application of these moisturizers on the skin of the mice “increased the total number of histologically characterized tumors by 69%”. In other words, the mice that received the moisturizer had a very significant increase in their rate of skin cancer.
